ACCOMPLISHED PROJECTS

• Professional training for electricians and wire technicians in partnership with the Federal Government – Ministry of Labour (2000/2002).

• Full-length documentary by German movie maker Monika Treut – WARRIOR OF LIGHT (about Yvonne Bezerra de Mello) – which is still being distributed through television/video/DVD, film festivals and movie theaters in Europa, United States and Brazil (2002).

• Recycled furniture factory with PET bottles- RECICLAGEM & CULTURA (Recycling and Culture) in partnership with ONDAZUL Foundation, Petrobras and the Federal Government (2000/2004).

• Brazilian music CD, some tracks of which were composed and recorded specially for and with the children of the project. The CD was distributed in Europe and recorded with sponsorship by young executives of SIEMENS in Luxemburg (Group Ethnicity) (2003).

• The Canada Fund sponsored the book “I AM UERÊ” of Readings and Activities with texts written by 15 children from the project (2002), the library and one classroom

• Alphabetization program of students’ families (2002/2003).

• Campaign of 7.000 pencils a year by Othon Hotels staff (2005).

•Graffiti workshop and drawing with Fernando Guimaraes and Rafael (2006)

• Contemporary art workshop with Isabel Löfgren, Professor in Arts at the UFRJ  (2006)

• First edition of the math book to a collection "UERÊ KNOWKEDGE“, funded by Svenska Handelsbanken Children’s Fund Sweden (2007).

• Video workshop in partnership with Reuters Digital Visions and Kidz online, USA. The children produced 2 minute documentaries that were presented to the United Nations (2006).

• Project young firefighters with the Firefighter Brigade of the state Rio de Janeiro for 50 children of PROJETO UERÊ (2006).

• Music classes with teachers of the National Academy of Music,  accompanied by Professor Adriana Rodriquez Didier (2007).

• Art exhibition in Weggis, Switzerland / Cologne and Frankfurt, Germany (2006).
